Petr Antonov is a photographer and visual artist working in Moscow, Russia. In his work he uses photography to explore visible traces of history and culture, as well as possibilities of photography as an artistic tool. Petr Antonov’s works have been exhibited in Russia and internationally. Petr Antonov has been nominated for the Prix Pictet (2010), Paul Huf (2012) and PDN30 (2012) awards, his series ‘Ruins’ was shortlisted for the 2016 edition of the Sony World Photography Award. Since 2014 Petr Antonov teaches documentary photography at British Higher School of Art and Design in Moscow.

Пётр Антонов — фотограф и художник из Москвы. В своих работах Пётр Антонов с помощью фотографии исследует видимые проявления истории и культуры, а также возможности самой фотографии, как художественного метода. Работы Петра Антонова выставлялись в России и за рубежом и были номинированы на премии Prix Pictet (2010), Paul Huf (2012), PDN30 (2012). В 2016 году работы из цикла «Руины» вошли в короткий список номинантов премии Sony World Photography Awards. С 2014 года Пётр Антонов ведёт курс документальной фотографии в «Британской высшей школе дизайна» (г. Москва).
